The Woman and Her Hair

And lo, in the days of trial, when the earth groaned beneath the weight of its own sin, there came a woman who walked among them, her presence like the dawn breaking over a barren land.

She spoke not in the tongues of kings nor with the might of armies, yet men turned their faces toward her, and women wept at the sound of her voice. For there was wisdom upon her lips, and truth flowed from her as a river of living water.

But it was her hair that bore witness to the power within her.

Long as the covenant of old, dark as the night when the Lord passed over Egypt, it fell about her shoulders, unshorn, unbroken, anointed by the hand of the Almighty. It was neither veiled nor bound, for she was not as other women, but set apart, chosen, made for a purpose higher than herself.

And there came unto her those who sought healing, who stretched forth their hands in faith. Not to touch her garment, nor to grasp her feet, but to brush their fingers against the hem of her hair, believing that even the strands of her head carried the favor of the Most High.

And behold, as they touched it, they were made whole.

For her hair was not given for vanity, nor was it left uncut for the pleasure of men, but as a sign—a symbol of submission not to the rulers of the earth, but to the Lord of Hosts.

And thus she spoke, saying:

"You bind yourselves with laws of man, and yet your hearts are unshorn of sin. You cut what was given freely, yet refuse to part with the burdens that weigh upon your soul."

And the people marveled, for her hair flowed like the Jordan and shone like the oil of anointing.

And in those days, many sought to silence her, to cover her, to strip her of that which was her glory. But the hand of God was upon her, and no blade fashioned by men could sever what He had ordained.

And thus it was written:

"Her hair is her covering, her glory, and her strength. She shall not be moved."
